- Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst required (or willingness to obtain within designated time frame)
- Illinois (PEL) Professional Educator License
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments or Analysis and develop Behavior Intervention Plans.
- Assist with monitoring fidelity of implementation.
- Provide ongoing consultation to staff who work with students who exhibit behavioral difficulties.
- Engage in a coaching and learning approach that effectively supports educators and students.
- Actively participate as a member of the Student Services leadership team and other district committees for developing and implementing plans to address overall district academic and behavioral performance.
- Collect, analyze and utilize data to make informed decisions for academic and behavioral needs of students.
- Provide direct and/or consultative support to students and teams within and outside the classroom setting.
- Supports teams in the evaluation process of students with social and emotional concerns impacting functional and academic performance.
- Lead school-based teams in the development, revision or implementation of behavior plans as needed.
- Trains and supervises the implementation of behavioral assessment measures and functional assessment measures as needed.
- Plan and confer with school teams concerning social emotional and behavioral issues.
- Provide training in Crisis Response and participate on District Crisis Team.
- Actively identify and address systemic barriers to learning impacting the school environment.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate programs that address educational and behavioral concerns.
- Train staff in evidence-based strategies, in addition to the implementation, and evaluation of practices.
- Provide support services to Parents/Guardians.
- Enforce and support District and School policies, philosophies and objectives with students and parents.
- Provide supervision hours for Supervised Independent Fieldwork, if qualified.
- Participate in staff development and district/school improvement activities in order to maintain professional growth. Plan and implement best practices and strategies.
- Encouraged to participate in events outside of the regularly scheduled work day.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Services.
- Experience working with children with behavioral needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorders and Social/Emotional Disorders; working in public school settings; writing, training, and evaluating academic programming; using numerous data collection methods preferred.
- Highly trained in the areas of Social and Emotional Learning, managing aggressive behavior, and Crisis Response.
- Maintains appropriate confidentiality.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships; demonstrate a commitment to teamwork.
- Ability to learn and utilize office equipment, computers, and software especially as systems is updated.
- Ability to react well under pressure, handle and balance multiple demands at one time, work with frequent interruptions, and perform duties and tasks at expected levels of professionalism.
- Extensive knowledge of and ability to perform duties in compliance with all district, Board, state and federal laws, methods, requirements, policies, procedures, and activities pertinent to the duties of this position.

VACANCY: The Valley View Public School District is seeking an individual to fill an ESY Behavior Analyst position.
JOB SUMMARY: The Behavior Analyst will report to the ESY Principal. Provide direct and consultative services to students, staff, and families regarding behavior management, effective education and assessment of behavioral and educational needs of students with and without disabilities. Implement and/or oversee the implementation of procedures for developing
behavior assessments and intervention plans.
QUALIFICATIONS:
WORKING CONDITIONS: Salary will be paid $40.00 per hour. The work schedule for this position is from June 02, 2023- June 30, 2023, 8:15 am to 12:30 pm. Orientation is on June 1, 2023. Applicants must work the entire summer session. No vacation times or subs are acceptable.
