Cafeteria Assistant FULL TIME

We're looking for a FULL TIME Cafeteria Assistant to join our Valley View Team!

 This position is for days/evenings! 

GENERAL OBJECTIVES:

Performs setup, stocking, clerical, cashier and money management duties of department. 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Performs cashier functions of ringing up sales, entering employee numbers accurately, making change and making corrections to monetary mistakes.
2. Completes all cash reports in an accurate and timely manner after each meal period.
3. Complies with department’s cash register and pricing methodology, with minimum overages and shortages.
4. Communicates all customer concerns to supervisor.
5. Reads and understands the cashier agreement (attached).
6. Maintains the cash register in working order.
7. Inventories and maintains necessary supplies to ensure efficiency of operation.
8. Maintains cashier station and dining room in a clean orderly condition at all times, including tabletops, condiment station, and other assigned areas.
9. Maintains a clean sanitary work environment.
10. Operates and cleans equipment after each use and in compliance with the master cleaning schedule.
11. Transports garbage and recyclable materials to assigned areas.
12. Sets up cafeteria in accordance with line diagram and monitors food temperature and quality.
13. Cleans and stocks assigned work area.
14. Serves accurate portion sizes in cafeteria setting.
15. Possesses appropriate food-item and ingredient knowledge and is able to effectively communicate possible allergens to customers.

SALARY RANGE

• ‎$19.00/hour
• Entry salary dependent upon education, skill set, and experience.
• $2.25/hour evening shift differential when working a minimum of 4 consecutive hours between 3:00pm-11:30pm.
