Optometric Technician

Job Summary

We are looking for a full-time, 40 hours a week, Optometric Technician who has excellent customer service skills, working a Monday thru Friday schedule and who enjoys a fast-paced environment. Position closes on Friday, May 24.

Responsibilities and Duties

The person in this position is primarily responsible for the initial pre-testing of our patients and then assisting the optometrist during eye examinations, obtains, and records preliminary patient history, assists in special testing, scribing of notes, posting charges, and communicating with patients regarding their ongoing care.

Qualifications and Skills

The position requires a pleasant disposition and the ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions; demonstrating the ability to perform medical testing quickly and accurately. Prior experience in a medical or Optometry office setting is desirable but not required. Strong patient care skills and interpersonal skills with a wide range of patient ages. Experience in using Microsoft office products. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Must be highly focused and detail-oriented. Bilingual skills a plus.
