Business Office Assistant
Temporary Position (estimated current to mid-summer)
SUMMARY of Duties
The Business Office Assistant is responsible for assisting with the community’s accounting functions, human resource functions and providing general clerical support as directed. Assist in implementing the day-to-day functions of the business office. Assist in the maintenance of an adequate accounting system that reflects the operating cost of the community. At the direction of the supervisor, process and verify payment of invoices on a timely basis. At the direction of the supervisor, code invoices with appropriate chart of accounts number to assure that expenses are distributed to the correct expense account. At the direction of the supervisor, send checks and maintain a file of paid invoices.

Work Experience Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of experience in a related position, preferably in long term care industry, is desired
- Be proficient in basic office equipment (including a personal computer) for the purpose of accomplishing and maintaining a high level of job performance
- Proficient in Office software
Educational Qualifications
- A High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Bachelors Degree preferred
