Position: FT - Clinical Counselor - ($25HR - $27HR)

Essential Functions of the Clinical Counselor:
- To provide high-quality clinical trauma therapy services to adolescent survivors of human trafficking.
- To complete and implement assessments, safety plans, and treatment plans including community and specialized services in support of assigned clients using positive youth development, trauma-informed, and culturally appropriate frameworks.
- A minimum of 50% of the working hours will be spent providing quality in-person individual or group counseling services and mental health case management including understanding medication and doctor appointments, according to the youth's identified level of service.
- Intervene and report any crisis or critical incident as defined by the agency and/or county, state, or federal regulations according to the agency's formalized practice and protocols, including completing preliminary safety plans.
- Attend both external and internal agency training and workshops; complete and pass all required training hours and annual training as set forth in the funder and licensing regulations.
- Effectively utilize CSEC training to identify potential indicators of exploitation and use preventative therapeutic interventions as required.
- Attend quarterly training related to trauma-informed care and human trafficking.
Qualifications for the Clinical Counselor:
- Master's degree in human services field required.
- Minimum of two years of experience providing trauma therapy preferred.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, including vehicle insurance and inspection on any Vehicle is used for daily work and transportation of clients.
- Must receive a passing score on annual motor vehicle clearance to be eligible to operate an agency Vehicles.
- Never have been convicted of any prohibited criminal or child abuse offense.
Physical Requirements:
- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing. X Occasionally
- Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds. X Occasionally
- The ability to navigate stairs is highly preferred (as some locations are not always handicap accessible). X Constantly
