What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Loan Processor position at ValleyStar Credit Union?
Your role
ValleyStar is expanding the Consumer Lending team and searching for an energetic and outgoing individual to join the team as an E-Branch (Digital) Loan Processor. In this role, you are responsible for processing consumer loan applications from our digital (online/mobile) channels. You will contact members, discuss the application, submit the application to underwriter, deliver decision to member, and close the loan through electronic channels. In addition, you are responsible for cross-selling other credit union products and services to meet the members’ needs and opening accounts related to online/mobile loans.

Your day
- Contribute to promoting and providing a supportive and favorable image of the credit union when speaking with members about the credit union’s products, services and/or needs of the member.
- Responsible for promoting Credit Union lending products and services to members.
- Responsible for credit union production by processing online/mobile applications in a timely, efficient manner.
- Responsible for creating new membership accounts for new members from mobile/online loans. Ensure that account disclosures are distributed properly to new members.
- Understand features and benefits of credit union products to effectively cross sell to meet members’ needs.
- Responsible for meeting credit union production and cross-selling goals.
- Perform pre/post audit checks on paperwork to ensure that all paperwork submitted and processed is accurate and compliant with all ValleyStar guidelines and credit union regulations.
- Communicate with members related to submitted deals.
- Responsible for maintaining daily production reports to track loans booked.
- Maintain an excellent knowledge of all indirect lending policies and procedures.
We need
- Prior finical, banking, lending, or loan processing experience.
- Computer savvy; able to navigate multiple windows and applications.
- Basic working knowledge with Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and digital.
