Job Description:

Valor Renewables, a leading scrap yard facility, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Truck Scale Clerk to our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a scrap yard and possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and manage the truck scale to accurately weigh incoming and outgoing trucks.
• Schedule and coordinate truck arrivals and departures to ensure efficient workflow.
• Enter and track data accurately in QuickBooks, ensuring all records are up-to-date and precise.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to maintain and analyze data, generating reports as needed.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and team members to facilitate smooth operations.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
• Provide excellent customer service to drivers and clients, addressing any questions or concerns promptly.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the management team.

Requirements:

• Experience: Must have prior experience working at a scrap yard, but not required.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Language Skills: Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately track and record data.
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and manage relationships with various stakeholders.
• Flexibility: Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
• Knowledge of industry-specific safety standards and regulations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 46 per week
