Project Manager - EMS (Environmental Monitoring System)
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Project Manager to oversee a project focused on separating an Environmental Monitoring System (EMS) data, currently in a combined system. The ideal candidate will have a technical background in Hardware/E&I and Automation Systems and Construction, but does not need to be hands-on. The primary responsibility of the Project Manager will be to manage the project, including overseeing the installation of new electrical/control panels, coordinating internal resources developing control modules/graphics, collaborating with construction management to navigate safety permitting, aligning schedules with manufacturing operations to perform system cutovers. Additionally, the Project Manager will be responsible for providing general management/coordination of other site projects occurring, which may include OSI PI and other systems.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the EMS separation project from start to finish, ensuring successful completion within the agreed timelines and budget.
- Oversee the installation of new electrical/control panels and coordinate with internal resources developing control modules/graphics.
- Collaborate with construction management to navigate safety permitting and align schedules with manufacturing operations to perform system cutovers.
- Provide general management/coordination of other site projects occurring, which may include OSI PI and other systems.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including project team members, site management, and external contractors.
- Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and resolve issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in project management in a technical environment.
- Technical understanding of Hardware/E&I and Automation Systems and Life Sciences Construction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with Life Sciences DCS and PLCs is required.
- Local to San Diego area, able to be on-site 3 days/week and 5 days/week during shutdowns.
