POSITION OVERVIEW:
This position will join the Finance and Accounting team, and report directly to the CFO. Will handle tasks such as budgeting, reporting and assisting in the overall growth of the organization. Study the company’s financial data to give advice for guiding business investments and overall financial strategy. Analyze economic conditions and other details to provide expert advice to leadership in order to make financial decisions for the business. Organize data into accessible reports and perform various types of analysis using key metrics such as yearly growth, return on assets and return on equity. Gather data about other companies to determine industry standards and identify trends as they develop.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop accurate financial plans and forecasts based on the company’s operational needs.
- Compile reports on financial performance metrics and trends and provide business recommendations based on your findings.
- Evaluate current and previous financial data.
- Study business and economic trends.
- Determine the company’s value by examining its financial statements.
- Provide analysis and financial support that aligns with company objectives to department heads.
- Conduct monthly budget vs. actual analysis.
- Evaluate business proposal documents and examine revenue and expense projections, capital expenditures and other financial concerns.
- Create detailed financial models in support of project-based initiatives
- Demonstrate commitment to Valtir's Core Values by leading, acting and behaving in a manner consistent with these values.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Applied and/or Financial Economics, Statistics and/or Decision Sciences
- CFA certification a plus
- 12 years prior FP&A experience
- A significant interest in corporate finance and financial markets
- Strong Interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at all internal organizational levels
- Willing and able to travel as required.
