Accounts Payable

Position Overview:

Pays invoices by obtaining payment authorization, scheduling and preparing disbursements, and verifying transaction documentation. Provide office administration and support to the team

Essential Job Functions:

· Responsible for accounts payable activities as directed by management

· Prepares AP reports and AP files

· Resolves account discrepancies by investigation documentation, interaction with company purchasers and vendors, and making corrective adjustments.

· Creates & processes PO’s, Bill of Lading and Invoices

· Provides freight quotes to Sales as requested

· Answer payable phone inquiries

· Responsible for processing and maintaining reimbursement information for rebate coupons

· Maintains appropriate supplies for office by placing orders on an “as needed” basis

· Responsible for auditing and processing expense reports

· Assist and back-up Accounts Receivables processing

· Assists in administration tasks such as answering phones, faxing, managing email, filing, scanning documents and distributing shop basket

· Assists the President with a variety of clerical needs

· Other tasks and duties as assigned.

Requirements:

· Education / Certification

o High School diploma or equivalent

· Knowledge & Experience

o 1-3 years’ experience with accounts payable

o Experience using ERP software helpful (Infor XA ERP preferred)

o Fluent in English and the ability to communicate effectively in English (both verbal and written)

o Skilled with Microsoft Word and Excel programs.

· Other Skills / Abilities

o Positive interaction when dealing with general public, exceptional customer service skills

o Aptitude for accounting and math

o Detail oriented with good analytical and organizational skills

o Strong follow-up abilities

o Ability to work as part of a team

o Ability to frequently sit for extended periods.

o Ability to maintain high levels of concentration while working with occasional time pressures and interruptions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
