We are currently seeking to hire an experienced QUALITY TECHNICIAN at our location in Michigan City, Indiana.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
· Investigate and report production line challenges to maintain quality product and processes, to include data collection, sorting, and validating.
· Create, adjust, and audit processes and practices, as needed.
· Read prints and schematics to verify tolerances, performance, as well as perform root cause analysis.
· Additional tasks as needed by management and customer demand.
Job Qualifications and Skills
· Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office; for the creation of, but not limited to: matrixes, flow charts, Gantt charts, and reports.
· Must have a team-orientated attitude and are able to work with and within groups.
· Able to multi-task and maintain workloads with changing priorities and timelines.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
· Must be proficient with basic hand tools in order to disassemble or assemble engines, compressors, generators, and/or mating components.
· Must be willing to travel, possess a valid driver’s license, and have a clean driving record. Trips are short and seldom.
· Are familiar with 8D, PDSA, A3, DMAIC, DFSS, DFMA, FMEA, SAE, WHMA, NAHAD, ASME, ANSI, MIL-STD, and AWS or similar practices.
· Are familiar with electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic circuits, as well as combustion engines.
