What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Plater position at Vance's Bakery Bar?
We are looking to hire an expo/plater for our one-of-a-kind, fast-paced bakery bar in downtown Augusta, GA. He/She will be responsible for plating our desserts for customers according to established templates. The hours would be around 5pm until midnight. Must be 21 years of age as we are a cocktail lounge/bar.
Responsibilities
- Clean kitchen equipment and tools before use
- Lift bakery storage boxes
- Prepare desserts for plating
- Run food as necessary
Skills
- Experience as a line cook, expo, baker, plater, server or similar role in a commercial kitchen
- Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Excellent time-management skills
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
- Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude
- Flexibility to work weeknights and weekends
Job Type: Part-time
