Organization: VUMC IT Business App Dev Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Information Technology to lead a new team dedicated to managing and optimizing our Microsoft Dynamics 365 environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (highly preferred) and/or Salesforce, with a proven track record in leading IT teams to drive business transformation and growth. Key Responsibilities includes leadership and team management, development of strategies that align organizational goals with Dynamics 365 capabilities, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Dynamics 365 into business processes. This role will be responsible for leading Dynamics 365-related projects from conception through implementation to sustainment. Work Arrangement: • While this position is primarily remote, occasional visits to the main Nashville VUMC campus may be required. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a significant impact by shaping the future of VUMC’s technology landscape. . Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Team Management: Lead, manage, and mentor a team of IT professionals focused on Microsoft Dynamics 365. Foster and build a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement. Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement IT strategies that align with the organization's goals and Dynamics 365 capabilities. Plan and oversee the integration of Dynamics 365 with other business systems and data sources. Vendor Management: Maintain responsibility for vendor relationships, ensuring Vanderbilt University Medical Center is leveraging the Dynamics investment. Collaborate with vendors and partners to stay informed about Dynamics 365 updates, licensing, and best practices. Evaluate third-party solutions and integrations to enhance the platform. Project Management: Lead Dynamics 365-related projects, from conception through to implementation, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Dynamics 365 into business processes. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for all Dynamics 365-related matters. Work closely with business leaders to understand their needs and provide solutions that enhance productivity and efficiency. Budget and Resource Management: Manage the IT budget for Dynamics 365 initiatives, ensuring cost-effective use of resources. Evaluate and recommend new Dynamics 365 features, applications, and technologies to support business objectives. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. At least 10 years of experience in IT, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role. Extensive experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, including implementation, customization, and integration highly preferred. Strong project management skills and experience managing large-scale IT projects. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to think strategically and translate business needs into technology solutions.
