VanKirk Electric is a leading national electrical contractor that specializes in all phases of multi-family construction.
As a Jobsite Project Coordinator at VanKirk Electric, you are responsible for jobsite material receipt and organization as well as various administrative tasks to ensure job is meeting objectives.
Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning:
Familiarization with project specifications by studying plans, scope of work and performance standards
Track the percentage of work complete on the Construction Schedule
Identify and report inspection results to the team
Identify and communicate any Potential Change Orders (PCO) to the team
Maintain Control (plan, order, receive, inventory, organize, secure, disburse, and remove excess)
Operations:
Work directly with superintendent and project manager during rough-in stage of project
Provide updated project schedule by studying project plans and specification; calculating time requirements and recommend actions needed to accommodate schedule changes
Understand and clearly communicate Panel Schedules to the field crews, ensuring schedules are followed (possible creation of labels)
Attend jobsite meetings on behalf of Project Manager and report meeting minutes to office immediately after meeting
Ensure all work is authorized by VKE Corporate Office prior to completion
Track percentage of work complete on the Construction Schedule
Ensure jobsite Daily Log (manpower and inspections) are complete daily
Ensure weekly Work Authorizations are submitted
Inspect, monitor, and report misuse of material, tools, and rental equipment
Manage tools by labeling and tracking
Manage Rental Equipment
Develop Material Orders
Receive inventory, track, and secure delivered materials; confirm materials match purchase order description and quantities; input all necessary transactions into inventory system, providing proper documentation in a timely manner
Identify and report damaged and defective materials to the team
Manage field crew requests for material, meet with superintendent daily to determine material needed for field crews and properly stage for the following day
Initiate acquisition, organize and maintain storage units and/or storage facilities for ease in accessibility, efficient material storage and handling
Confirm all excess material (i.e., scrap wire, not installed) is securely stored and removed from the jobsite
Report Wire Cycle Count Weekly with images, every Friday
Report Full Inventory Cycle Count monthly with images, every last Friday of every month
Report Wire Actuals based on field crew installation of each unit (1br, 2br, 3br, Townhouse, etc.) and/or area
Provide jobsite with administrative support including but not limited to progress tracking
Material/Inventory Control, Identification and documentation of Potential Change Orders (PCO)
Maintain Potential Change Order (POC) Activity Log, work being completed out of agreed upon scope of work, especially in Clubhouse, Leasing and Amenities
Follow-up with VKE Project Manger on all Requests for Information (RFI)
Ensure project deadlines are met
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Knowledge and Experience:
Associates Degree, Technical Degree in a related study or 1-year construction experience in related field required
Electrical knowledge is a plus
OSHA and Forklift Certification is a plus
Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills
Exceptional competency with Microsoft applications including: Word, Excel, and Outlook
Exceptional documentation skills
Knowledge of file management and other administrative procedures
Strong interpersonal skills, with focus on rapport building, listening and questioning skills
Training:
All onboarding training must be completed within first 90 calendar days of employment
All onboarding training must be completed prior to reporting relationship change

Ability to safely operate a pallet jack to move materials, material pieces, boxes, and other objects to designated areas
Reporting Relationship:
This position reports to the Senior Project Coordinator (SPC)
