JOB SUMMARY
The FX Banker is key contributor in the business development of the foreign exchange department. The FX Banker will provide great service to customers by fostering a work environment that attracts, develops, recognizes and retains employees who demonstrate a commitment to our core values. Third, contribute to the growth and development of our communities through investment and involvement. In doing so, optimizing the shareholder’s long-term value.
The FX Banker will have a specialty in Foreign Exchange. The job summary includes, but is not limited to handle customer inquiries in person or by phone, explain the institutions products and service, refer customers to the appropriate personnel in lending, or other area of the bank, taking and confirming wire transfer requests. When assisting in the FX department the Banker will receive, capture and approve instructions from customers. Also is responsible of promoting the FX services and quoting rates to customers; always trying to maximize the income per transaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
The duties listed below may not include all responsibilities that the person in this role may be asked to perform. Incumbent may be required to perform other related duties as assigned.
1. Identify potential FX customers, and follow up on cold visits.
2. Serve as a backup contact for the branch network in assisting with sales closings and support and system guidance.
3. Travel within the US and Mexico for potential customers, follow up visits, system integration and FX Trader implementation for the FX system.
4. Contribute to the completion of FX Desk daily operations by coordinating directly with the FX Manager and FX Operation Specialists.
5. Resolve customer problems, coordinating solutions with the branch personnel to ensure adherence to FX policies and procedures with an emphasis and customer service.
6. Promote sales culture and ensure that the staff receives proper training to demonstrate abilities to sell FX Services to reach the sales goals.
7. Evaluate potential prospects in the region, develop partnership with sales representatives, Commercial lenders, Premier Bankers, Branch managers and TMO services for opportunities for business development.
8. Constantly enhance and implement the FX sales plan to ensure that branches meet their FX income goals.

· Promote the FX business between prospects and current customers
· Quote rates to customers and branches and also provide support to branches on any needs related to the FX Business and its process
· Receive instructions from customers to send Mexican Peso wires and from branches to send other currencies
· Upload payments to beneficiaries on electronic banking system
· Prepare payments to beneficiaries of wires and payments to counterparties on international wires system.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Requires a bachelor level of knowledge in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or Accounting or the equivalent training and/or experience.
• Minimum of three years banking experience
• Two years of foreign exchange experience
• Dynamic, Bilingual skills a must
• Ability to multitask
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally
• Customer service skills with sales oriented approach
• Microsoft Office knowledge
• Versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
