Customer Premises Technician
Vantage Point is a Telecommunications Consulting and Engineering firm, seeking full-time Customer Premises Installation Technicians.
PLEASE NOTE: Position requires a high degree of travel. We invite experienced technicians as well as trainees to apply.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Installation and termination of low voltage cabling
- Residential and Commercial network electronics wiring and troubleshooting
- Material management
- Travel
- Good communication skills to discern customer/client needs
- Verify installed service by testing of equipment and cabling
- Perform troubleshooting & strive to resolve issues
- Conduct customer contacts completing site surveys
- Willingness to learn and perform various duties with Outside Plant
Qualifications and Skills
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Organizational skills
- Mechanical skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability and willingness to travel
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
- Basic knowledge of telecommunications industry and/or home construction is a plus, but not required
- Understand and operate technology and applications such as Microsoft Office 360, Smartsheet, and various devise applications
