Job Summary

The Outside Plant Fiber Planner and Field Inspector is present on fiber optic construction projects to ensure that the fiber cable is being constructed properly and meeting the project requirements.

The field staff will coordinate the various activities on the project and also take detailed field records of the installed fiber cable.

Please note : This is a full-time 100% travel role

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Reviewing permits and ROW
  • Overall supervision and project management
  • Inspecting quality and recording field records

Qualifications and Skills

  • Valid US Driver's license, clean driving record
  • Ability to read and understand maps, drawings and diagrams for fiber construction
  • Fiber and outside plant knowledge
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
  • Must be able to sit for periods of time and be able to perform physical activities such as bending, standing, climbing and walking in construction areas
