Position Summary
This position is responsible for the day-to-day management and customer contact with TMMI of our business lines specific to Toyota Motor Manufacturing of Princeton Indiana. This position will be located within the Toyota plant in Princeton. This position while spending much of the time in operations and administration it will be critical for this position to develop strong positive relationships with the logistics and assembly group. We want Toyota to view VASCOR as their true logistics advisors and providers. While understanding we have defined competitors at TMMI this position must work with them in a positive fashion for the better of Toyota.
Position Responsibilities:
1. OPERATIONS AND ADMINISTRATION 75%
1.1. Manage and direct the day-to-day activities of the onsite operational needs supporting the Vuteq Sequencing business, the Seat/ Door Trim business and the Export Documentation business.
1.2. Monitor performance of underlying service providers by analyzing statistical data to determine adherence to commitments/corrective action(s).
1.3. Provide feedback to interested parties.
1.4. Carrier performance reviews and evaluations (process reconciliation and adherence to standard processes of all carriers).
1.5. Make sure the partner carriers clearly understand their work scope and are trained to handle accordingly. React to problems and implement solutions.
1.6. Prepare and maintain standards and measures on key operational and administrative functions.
1.7. Provide ongoing management reports.
1.8. Take the lead to manage cost with a specific focus on Equipment cost.
2. DEVELOPMENT OF CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS 20%
2.1. Develop frontline expertise that support the Toyota Motor Manufacturing plant of Princeton Indiana. Become customer intimate with the assembly and logistics sections.
2.2. Develop and maintain a positive and cooperative relationship with other logistics partners that work onsite for Toyota.
2.3. Assist in the creation and development of additional services that could be offered to Toyota including preparing and presenting new ideas.
3. PRICING & FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT 5%
3.1. Assist in the development of pricing for new services
3.2. Analyze financial performance of the business adherence to budget & business plan.
3.3. Assist in the development of business plan information
Essential Skills and Experience:
Education
College degree is preferred (BS/BA) or equivalent work experience acceptable

1. Strong PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Experience
1. A minimum of 5 years managerial experience in the automotive transportation industry
2. Must have knowledge of the Automotive Industry Customer needs normally gained through experience in logistics or operations processes
3. Experience in establishing and reporting standards and measures with statistical analysis
4. Process management experience
5. Knowledge of logistics from a customer perspective including inventory management, distribution, transportation (multiple modes), and overall supply chain management
