The ultrasound technologist performs arterial and venous ultrasound studies, body and small parts ultrasound studies, and non-invasive physiologic examinations. Additionally, the technologist assists with performing arterial and venous procedures and any ultrasound guided biopsies. This position is also responsible for maintaining equipment certification and vascular lab accreditation.
This is a full-time position working Monday - Friday, 7am - 5pm out of our Edina clinic.
Vascular Interventional Experts is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform high quality ultrasound studies of the arterial and venous systems
Perform high quality transabdominal & endovaginal ultrasound exams
Extensive knowledge of DVT and venous insufficiency
Maintain ultrasound equipment and supplies by cleaning and adjusting equipment; troubleshooting problems; performing preventive maintenance; reporting equipment malfunctions; arranging for repairs if necessary; maintaining supply inventory; keeping rooms clean, sanitized, and always organized
Provide excellent patient care and exhibit excellent bed side manner
Treat team members and patients with utmost respect and compassion
Be a team player; willing to be cross trained for other duties outside of your job scope
Maintains patient confidentiality; complies with HIPPA and compliance guidelines established by the practice
Attends all regular meetings
Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations
Complete sterile setup and assist with superficial venous procedures
Room and prep patients for examinations and procedures
Operate treadmill for diagnosis or functional assessment of patients with vascular disease
Explains procedures to the patient and obtains informed consent
Responsible for on call hours
Adheres to the protocols outlined in the department's procedure manual, upon the order from the referring physician, for diagnostic interpretation by the interpreting physician.
Completes preliminary reports for interpretation
Other duties as delegated by the team lead and/or physician
Education and Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma
Certificate of Completion from an accredited Ultrasound Program
Registered as a Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Vascular Sonographer (RVS) or committed to obtain within first 6 months of employment
Current basic life support certification (BLS)
RDMS certification
3 years related experience
Strong interpersonal skills.
Strong technical writing skills
Strong proficiency in performing a variety of vascular ultrasound exams
Current immunizations required
Ability to travel to clinic locations across the metro up to 50%

Work in the clinic, office or surgery center during business hours
Travel independently throughout the clinic, office or surgery center (which may include movement from floor to floor); frequent bending, lifting, standing, stooping or sitting for long periods of time may be required
Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately and meet deadlines
Communicate and interact in a respectful and professional manner
Prioritize workload while being flexible to meet the expectations of the daily operations
Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Understand and execute a variety of instructions
Effectively operate equipment and communicate on and operate the phone system
Teamwork - Be a part of the whole; support each other positively
