What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Commercial Sales (on-site) position at Vasion?
Vasion is looking for an experienced, strategic, and creative sales leader to grow our SMB and Commercial business in Field Sales. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing tactical sales plans that will drive net new logo acquisition and revenue growth. You will do this by developing and coaching a team of Account Executives (AEs) on successful territory ownership practices, pipeline building, CRM data hygiene, cross-team collaboration, and sales fundamentals.
The ideal candidate has a demonstrated history of exceeding sales quotas while serving as a manager and individual performer and loves the challenges that come with being, and training how to be an effective guide to new customers. The right candidate will thrive in a highly entrepreneurial, synergetic, and fast-changing environment where people are driven, enthusiastic, collaborative and not afraid to take risks. This is an on-site position at our headquarters in St. George, Utah.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategy to reach company sales goals for this area of the business
- Achieve scaling growth and exceed sales targets by successfully managing an AE team.
- Own recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of AE team.
- Monitor and analyze leading indicators and KPIs to identify opportunities for unrealized gains.
- Coach, mentor, and provide consistent feedback to team members in 1:1s and team meetings.
- Foster a highly competitive yet collaborative team environment.
- Work closely with the finance, operations, marketing, and other sales teams to provide customer feedback to improve our product offering and customer experience.
- Work with senior management to devise and implement innovative go-to-market strategies.
- Present regular reports and analyses to senior management on sales performance, market trends, and competitive landscape.
Qualifications and Experience
- 5 years managing a team of AEs in a driven, high-performance, and collaborative sales environment.
- Experience selling software/hardware technology solutions is preferred.
- Must have experience with technology tools such as SFDC, DOMO, and other tools.
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent leadership, cooperation, and communication skills – all with a concierge mentality; no task is too big or too small.
- Results-oriented with strong analytical skills.
