Summary:
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for all elements of our accounting process and will report to the Director of Accounting. The Accounting Manager will lead various month end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, financial statement fluctuation analyses and audit support. The ideal candidate is one who has an aptitude for learning, especially in uncharted territory, customer-centric and accustomed to a fast-paced environment. In addition, we are looking for a candidate who is flexible and has a passion for innovation and improvement in processes. A successful candidate is one who has great attention to details and strong oral and written communication skills.
\n- Lead projects of varying degrees of complexity within Finance and actively participates in complex cross functional projects.
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and roll-forwards.
- Prepare income and balance sheet flux and variance analysis.
- Prepare accruals including coordination with internal business stakeholders and vendors.
- Assist with clinical trial accruals and monthly reconciliations as required.
- Collaborate with cross functional departments to ensure accuracy and completeness of operating expenses.
- Assist with the implementation and maintain and adhere to internal controls under SOX 404(b) and policies and procedures.
- Prepare schedules for quarterly reviews and annual audits.
- Assist with preparation of various internal and external financial statements.
- Assist with implementation of various financial systems and special projects as needed.
- BA or BS degree in accounting or equivalent.
- 8 years of accounting experience, Biotech Accounting and public company experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with complex accrual accounting and estimation process, particularly the use of percentage of completion estimation of services/goods delivery by vendors.
- Demonstrated experience in working closely with business partners and vendors in high priority accounting areas.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with proven ability to effectively communicate to employees at all levels and to outside vendors.
- Strong Excel skills. Previous experience with an ERP system (NetSuite) a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines.
- Positive work ethic and organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
- A collaborative team player, able to partner with internal and external contacts at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team, shift focus, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Exceptional focus on customer service.

Compensation:
The compensation package will be competitive and includes comprehensive benefits and an equity component.
Salary Range: $143,000 – $154,000
