Vaxcyte, headquartered in San Carlos, CA, went public in June 2020 and currently has a team of approximately 150 employees and anticipates continued, significant growth. Summary:

Vaxcyte, inc. is looking for an experienced IT Engineer. The primary responsibility for this role will be to provide administration and support to all Vaxcyte users.  An ideal candidate is experienced with supporting current industry standard computer apps, SaaS apps, and hardware, including conference room audio/visual equipment. This role will require you to be comfortable as a self-starter while also acting as a team player. You will be joining an existing team of 2 IT engineers within IT operations. This role will require you to be onsite and allows WFH benefits. Candidates will have 3 years’ experience and can demonstrate your ability to leverage a deep understanding of IT operations, strong communications skills and the ability to work with a varying range of users.

• Provide outstanding technical support by practicing excellent communication and customer service.
• Possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to listen to the user’s concerns, identify problems and develop a plan for resolution.
• Measure, monitor, and maintain team’s ability to meet or exceed contact and resolution Service Level Agreements (SLA).
• Maintain asset management for hardware and software.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and processes.
• Proactively applies professional concepts to contribute to development of company's concepts and principles and to achieve objectives in creative and effective way.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to upgrade SaaS software as needed.
• Support new software application roll outs to ensure the smooth transition.
• Document all processes and create user training manuals / knowledge base.
• Develop, test and deploy images and application packages.
• Scale our endpoint management tools, network and AV infrastructure, on-boarding and off-boarding procedures, helpdesk request handling, identity and access management, and overall IT processes.
• Maintain security patching for supported desktop applications and operating systems.
• Own integrations and IT needs at our headquarters including lab space.
• Keep current with the latest technologies and determine what new technology solutions and implementations will meet business demand.

• Strong knowledge of enterprise applications, tools and operating systems, including Windows, Mac OS, Office 365, Azure Active Directory, Intune/Autopilot, Okta SSO/MFA, Cisco Meraki firewall, switches, AP’s.

• Experience utilizing remote access tools to troubleshoot.

• Knowledge of audiovisual systems and basic AV troubleshooting.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or related field is a plus.

Compensation:

The compensation package will be competitive and includes comprehensive benefits and an equity component.

Salary Range: $104,000 - $113,000
