Associate Veterinarian - Benicia, CA

VCA Benicia Animal Hospital is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our tenured DVM team Benicia, California.

VCA takes pride in expanding the growth and skill set of new veterinarians.  We welcome newly graduated veterinarians (and current veterinary students) to apply to this position where they will receive individualized support with our 6-month mentorship program and a collaborative hospital team environment.

So that we may be able to provide quality care to our patients, we have digital radiography that includes radiograph interpretations at our fingertips. In addition, we offer all of patients coming in for dental prophylaxis digital dental radiographs. We also offer boarding services for canines vaccinated with rabies, distemper-parvo, leptospirosis, bordetella, and canine influenza; also our feline friends vaccinated with rabies and distemper. The main facility includes 4 exam rooms, reception, spacious treatment room, surgery room, pharmacy, and an office for the manager and doctors. We currently have 2 full time doctors, front desk staff whom provide excellent customer service, kennel technician tending to our boarders 7 days a week, a full technician staff, and a hospital manager who oversees the hospital.

Our location is open 6 days/week. Your schedule would include 4 days/week (Mon-Fri) with rotating Saturdays.

There are several parks in Benicia, but just down the street there is a park where you’re able to sit down and enjoy the pleasantries of conversation by anyone walking by. A mile from the hospital is Downtown Benicia’s waterfront which includes many options of eateries that you can enjoy any time of day. There are 4 elementary, 1 middle, and 2 high schools in Benicia. We sponsor Benicia High School’s sporting seasons yearly to help with uniforms and travelling to away games. We are less than 40 miles from San Francisco, California and less than 15 miles from Concord, California. If you’re really adventurous and love snowboarding and skiing, we’re less than 4 hours away from South Lake Tahoe.

Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The annual salary range for this position is $64,480 - $180K. This position may also be eligible for other variable pay programs.
