If so, we would love to connect with you! VCA Columbia Animal Hospital at Hickory Ridge is seeking an experienced Veterinary Client Service Representative to join our one-of-a-kind 6-doctor Primary Care practice!

VCA Hickory Ridge has been serving the Howard County and surrounding area for 50 years. We are a dedicated team of professionals from diverse backgrounds that are well-trained and highly skilled. Our ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of client service experience, preferably in a veterinary setting. The successful candidate will share our passion for patient care, high quality medicine and client experience, while being dedicated to creating and maintaining a healthy work environment. The candidate we are looking for will be open to learning new ideas, sharing their ideas with the team, and working hard to help shape a low stress/stress free experience for patients, clients, and each other.

Why We Need You
As the face of VCA Columbia Animal Hospital at Hickory Ridge, the Client Service Representative sets the tone for the practice as we build and maintain each customer's trust and confidence in our abilities.  The Client Service Representative is the pivot around which the hospital operates and is responsible for:

  • Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms.
  • Scheduling and confirming appointments.
  • Placing outbound calls/texts/emails for follow-up and reaching out to prospective clients.
  • Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.
  • Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions.
  • Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control).
  •  Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.
  • Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $19-20 per hour (dependent on experience and credentials)

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
