VCA Veterinary Emergency and Veterinary Specialty Center, in Madison, WI is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency Team.

Our specialists and emergency doctors work together in a collaborative and encouraging manner to ensure the best outcomes for our patients. Our specialties include Emergency, Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Oncology.
Our Emergency Service:
VCA Veterinary Emergency Service is dedicated to providing the highest quality care when a pet is ill or injured. Our Emergency Technicians thrive in a fast-paced service, handle critical case, and enjoy the stimulating caseload. Our Technicians have the opportunity to sharpen and advance their technical skills every day.
Snapshot of the Role:
- Triage
- Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging
- Assist with all aspects of patient care from admission through discharge, including departmental rounds
- Monitoring hospitalized patients, treatments and nursing care
- Communicate with clients
- Physical examinations and patient assessments
- Venipuncture/IVC placement, cystocentesis, urinary catheter placement and NG tube placement.
- Anesthesia and sedation procedures
- Blood transfusion therapy including collection, administration, and transfusion reactions

Compensation:
Starting range is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field. Financial growth opportunities available.
We offer a shift differential to all hourly associates who work within a specific timeframe. Shift differential is $3.00 /hr.
Training: It is essential to our hospital that every Technician and Assistant feel supported in their professional development and growth.
