Job Description: Technical/Functional Skills
-MUST HAVE SKILLS Windows Server administration, Active directory, VMWare , VxRail Citrix administration Roles & Responsibilities
• Install and maintain Operating System, System Level Software and Patch Management, Different tools update like antivirus
• Manage systems day-to-day including cleaning of cache, system services (restarting/stopping), maintenance of scripts, system schedule maintenance
• Conduct component performance management, define component performance management standard and policies, performance tuning of system/platform software
• Manage operating system resource (hardware and software) availability
• Develop procedures for handling all planned and unplanned outages affecting the environment including review, approval, communication, and proper documentation
• Notify the customer of any planned or emergency changes to environment
• Perform authorization administration and monitoring of Windows Servers
• Manage hardware and systems software (maintenance, upgrades, bug fixing and patches •
Establish a test and implementation plan before each operating system version upgrade
• Schedule and coordinate operating system testing and implementation with Customer Team.
• Communicate to Customer Focal Point, via the change management process set forth in the Process Interface Manual, any installation prerequisites (e.g., additional disk space and memory) and any post install procedures that need to be followed the installation is completed
• Provide the Service Provider with operating system and operating system installation and customization requirements
• Ensure compliance by end users and Customer business units, via the change management process, with any communicated change prerequisites and post change procedures
• Perform data management activities which includes files, directories, and file system support activities • Create, maintain, and delete volumes and directory structures
• Modify file system sizes and permissions
• Repair defective file systems
• Administration of Active directory\DNS, basic maintenance, Backup, rebuild of Domain controller\restoration
• User account\group\ service account creation and access management
• Creation\deletion\modification of Group policy as required
• Regular DC health check like replication, services
• Install and support backup clients on Windows servers
• Participate in the data retention policies about Windows servers
• Provide point in time measurements and information. This includes but is not limited to: a. Average utilization over a period of minutes, days, weeks, months and years b. Peak utilization over a period of minutes, days, weeks, months and years c. Defined thresholds that when crossed alert to potential performance issues d. Real-time capacity information
• Export historical performance metrics to other capacity management tools
• Decommission Servers as required through change management (Logical\Physical decommission)
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows virtual servers (VMware\Hyper V)
• Host and storage Migration (VMware\Hyper V)
• Firmware update of Physical servers\ESXI
• Patching of ESXi • Creation \deletion of Snapshot\checkpoint
• Monitoring of Alarms for Alarms, bad memory, power supply or capacity
• Monitoring of Virtual resources (storage\snaps\check point) through script
