What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Manufacturing Technician Trainee position at VDE Machines?

VDE Machines designs and manufactures equipment for the international chocolate and baking industry. This type of equipment requires a high quality fit and finish to meet demanding sanitation standards.

What you will do:
- As part of the team, you will be observing and participating in the machine building process; from parts and components to the machines themselves.
- Learning to assemble fabricated and manufactured parts, as well as analyzing, adjusting, and calibrating for optimal performance.
- Installing pneumatics, gear motor drives, servomotors, chains, sprockets, gears etc.
- Working mainly with stainless steel, aluminum, and plastics.
- You will be working both independently and as a member of a team, acquiring knowledge and assisting others in the workshop when required.
- Becoming proficient in reading blueprints and assembly instructions, both of which may be in metric and/or English units.
What we are looking for:
- Relevant work experience is preferred, however, not required. Relevant experience can be a background as a machinist and/or maintenance mechanic.
- Must be able to use hand tools to assemble parts.
- Must maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Highly motivated individuals willing to learn. Must be able to apply oneself by working through problems and communicating effectively when issues arise.
