Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive penetration tests on applications, networks, and systems to identify vulnerabilities and security weaknesses.
- Perform vulnerability assessments using both automated tools and manual techniques.
- Develop detailed reports outlining findings, including risk levels, exploitability, and potential impact.
- Collaborate with development and IT teams to understand system architectures and security controls.
- Provide recommendations and best practices to enhance security posture and mitigate identified risks.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and penetration testing techniques.
- Participate in security audits, risk assessments, and compliance activities as needed.
- Develop and maintain testing tools and methodologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of penetration testing activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in penetration testing and vulnerability assessment.
- Proficiency with common penetration testing tools (e.g., Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, Nessus).
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and web technologies.
- Familiarity with common security frameworks and standards (e.g., OWASP, NIST, ISO 27001).
- Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus.
- Relevant certifications such as CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional), or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) are preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
