Summary:
The hydro blast technician is to safely perform extreme high pressure water blast units to clean industrial systems as well as operate vacuum trucks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Practices safety procedures in accordance with training and guidelines when working.
Provide industrial services using appropriate techniques including handwork or manual work in accordance with established methods and applicable regulations.
Manually cleans, installs, fits, repairs valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets and all other external and internal equipment on projects.
Understanding of equipment maintenance and ability to perform maintenance utilizing supplied breathing air and applicable personal protective equipment.
Maintains good housekeeping and cleanliness in the cleaning areas.
Checks equipment at the start and end of each shift.
Performs other duties as required.
Capable of performing and acquiring certification in Confined Space Rescue.
Must be available to work nights, weekends, and overtime.
Ensures task are completed with a high level of quality.
Reports any issues to appropriate management.
Job Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent.
TWIC card.
Ability to work outside in elements.
Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, nights, holidays, and be on call.
Submit to pre-employment background check and drug screen. Pass a physical, hair follicle drug test and background checks to Vecta standards.
Ability to wear a respirator if necessary.
Ability to lift/carry 50 pounds.
Ability to perform manual labor (i.e. heavy lifting, confined space entry, working at heights, etc.).
Experience with environmental and industrial services preferred but not required.
