What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Engineering Inspector position at Vedainfo Inc.?
Primary Skills: Scheduling, Developing, Planning, Tracking, and completing projects independently, Roadway Surveying, GPS Surveying, the use of sledgehammer to drive stakes.
Key Responsibilities include:
Perform roadway and structure inspection.
Support higher level technicians or engineers in areas such as construction inspection, material sampling and testing, and construction traffic control.
Perform standardized and non-standardized testing and assignments by compiling, analyzing, computing, editing, and processing field data.
Perform minor calculations for survey notes and estimates.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities / Competencies:
Knowledge in planning, developing, scheduling, tracking, and completing projects independently or with limited supervision.
Knowledge in applying engineering concepts to solve complex problems.
Ability to provide customer service involving the explaining and resolving complicated engineering concepts to various customer groups.
Knowledge in roadway surveying, GPS surveying, the use of sledgehammer to drive stakes, and bush axe to cut bushes.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Associate degree in the assigned discipline; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Employee must be proficient in record keeping, plan reading and construction surveying.
Experience with Microsoft Office products and drafting software.
Experience working in a team environment to complete assignments.
Additional Information:
Must obtain and maintain certifications required to perform material sampling and testing.
May be required to work anytime including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours to fulfil inspection and surveying needs.
May be subject to outside environmental conditions, noise and hazards from vehicles and construction machinery.
Safety toe shoes are required.
Must have a valid Class C Driver’s License.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
