Overview: The Client is in search of candidates for the role of Professional Land Surveyor, which will involve a blend of office tasks and field crew management.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management:
- Preparation of estimates and proposals.
- Supervision and scheduling of surveys and SUE field crews along with office technicians.
- Enforcement of safety protocols and traffic control measures during survey operations.
- Handling the preparation and processing of various surveys including topographic, right of way, boundary, control, ALTA, and SUE.
- Construction Stakeout:
- Generating plats, legal descriptions, and metes and bounds descriptions.
- Conducting property deed and plat research, and reviewing title reports and commitments.
- Quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) of field work and deliverables.
- Supervising and guiding office and field survey staff.
- Maintenance of survey equipment as per manufacturer’s specifications and troubleshooting equipment issues.
Qualifications:
- Maryland Registered Professional Land Surveyor.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in land and topographic surveying, including crew management.
- AAS or BS degree in Land Surveying preferred.
- Proficient in RTK GPS and Robotic Total Stations.
- Proficient in MicroStation V8i and InRoads Survey.
- Proficient in MicroSurvey StarNet 10 or higher.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Carlson Survey, or Civil 3D is advantageous.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with self-motivation.
- Preferred experience in MDOT survey and plat preparation.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.
- Familiarity with survey and SUE field equipment.
- Experience with emerging technologies such as 3D scanning and processing.

Pay: $80,348.62 - $100,634.90 per year
