Overview:

Veeco is seeking an ambitious Field Service Engineer eager to learn Veeco's technology and drive customer satisfaction through support. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting a key customer with the objective of adopting a new technology through installation and start up sustaining and trouble shooting of Semiconductor equipment.

**Position involves domestic and internationaltravel (asallowed) for training and support of key accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Perform activities during installation, upgrade, testing, warranty, and repair of equipment, following up all customer's and Veeco's protocols related to safety and security
• Isolate and resolve equipment and systems malfunctions and take corrective action
• Assist with the implementation of new processes, methods, and designs
• Develop relationships with the customer to ensure high customer satisfaction and retention
• Ability to drive onsite activities, communications, and provide support in all matters related to the equipment, technical, and field aspects for the targeted site
• Escalate and communicate all tool actions/events and daily activities in field service reports
• Adhere to safety and confidentiality policies

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical area and at least 5years of experience in a technical service, field service, or customer support position is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Experience with Semiconductor industry safety requirements and clean room environment
• Knowledge annealing laser annealing, or similar semiconductor process equipmentpreferred
• Must possess a positive attitude and excellent communication skills with the ability to speak with clarity and interface effectively with customer, management, and peers
• Knowledge of machine vision systems, electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, robotics, and computer programming.
• System integration, test, and debug skills
• Displays broad-based customer focus and commitment to resolve problems and make decisions based on the priority of the problem in relation to business needs
• Ability to build excellent customer relationships
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work under pressure to meet support deadlines in a multi-tasking environment
• Must be flexible for emergency call-in work
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Ability to travel 25%, occasionally on short notice; requires domestic/international travel for training and support of customer projects.

The expected salary range for this position is $72,000 - $92,000 bonus benefits. When determining your pay, we will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
