Overview:

Ultratech a division of Veeco is hiring a Manufacturing Equipment Engineer I with primary responsibilities to participate in the assembling of newly manufactured systems and sub systems on the manufacturing floor.

**This position may start on 1st shift then will move to swing shift (2:30 p.m.-11:00 p.m.) between 1 to 3 months.***

Responsibilities:

  • Follows standard practices and procedures for building complex systems
  • Learns to disassemble complex systems for customer delivery preparation
  • Assists Manufacturing Engineers in troubleshooting testing discrepancies
  • Works with Manufacturing Engineering and Assembly Test Technicians to resolve issues
  • Identifies and provides improvements for assembly methods of existing products using standard practices and procedures
  • Collaborates with Engineering as we develop assembly methodologies for new products/components.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of hardware, software, and control systems - Analog / D-Net is preferred
  • Some experience with semiconductor hardware/practices and manufacturing is preferred
  • SAP skills that range from simple inquiries to complex reports and transactions (MM, PP modules) is preferred
  • Follows standard practices and procedures to perform statistical data analysis
  • Aptitude for identifying and resolving recurring problems
  • Builds interpersonal skills to interface with assembly technicians, engineering, management, customers, sales and marketing
  • Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required to meet company revenue requirements

The expected salary range for this position is $72,774.00 - $92,179.45 bonus benefits. When determining your pay, we will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
