As a Financial Analyst you will communicate heavily with leadership, and accounting and finance teams, to extract accurate data and present it in efficient and insightful ways. This is a highly visible role where you will interface directly with all levels of the business, and so it’s the perfect position for an individual looking for a challenge and an opportunity for professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Support multiple divisions and work with the broader Finance and Accounting team to drive business and strategic insights across the organization and support the company’s growth
- Engage closely with key departments, including but not limited to Sales, Marketing, Demand Generation, Account Management, Customer Success, Research & Development, and HR, in a highly visible and collaborative environment as we continue to scale our business
- Support optimization of the annual planning process and any forecast/re-forecast cycles to maintain continual line of sight into future company performance and initiatives
- Act as a liaison to Accounting during month-end close cycle to ensure proper categorization of revenues and expenses is in line with budgets and forecasts
- Develop, maintain, and own much of our department level financial analysis, as well as the organization’s KPI tracking and reporting, and eventually automate and streamline our dashboards
- Conduct detailed variance analyses related to our monthly/quarterly/annual reporting to assist the organization in understanding the stories behind the numbers
- Support, from a financial data integrity perspective, any planned reporting, budgeting, or analytics systems implementations
- Support ad-hoc analysis and transformational/transactional projects as/should they arise
Qualifications
Qualifications
- 2-5 years working in a financial planning & analysis (FP&A), finance, accounting, or related/adjacent function with demonstrated career progression or milestones
- Working knowledge of SaaS, software subscription and/or Payments company business models
- Functional understanding of accounting, revenue and expense recognition principles in accordance with GAAP, and financial statements
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint; Experience with PowerBI, Workday’s Adaptive Insights, Sage Intacct, and SalesForce.com will be highly regarded
- Experience building analyses, models, and/or decision support tools that have been widely adopted at your previous organization(s). Preference will be given to candidates with experience or understanding of Cohort Analysis
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate cross functionally with professionals in disciplines outside of your own
- Detail oriented mentality, while also able to zoom out and contextualize at a high level
- Low ego and eagerness to learn and identify ways to drive value on a small but nimble team
- Comfortable interacting/briefing with executive leadership
