Job Objective: Ability to operate weaving looms and become proficient in weaving process, following established Standard Operating Procedures. Maintain Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost standards.
1st Shift: 6:45am-2:45pm
Essential Job Functions:
Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.
Operate set (s) of looms. Repair breaks, draw - in, repair smashes, perform style changes, ensure construction conforms to style sheets.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Doff loom pancakes and transfer to carts.
Accurately complete necessary production paperwork and data entry.
Ability to work well with others in a team environment
Excellent attendance required
Full time presence required
Ability to work overtime as required or requested including extended shifts and weekends.
Additional tasks as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
- Ability to read, write and perform basic data entry.
- Ability to complete Hazardous Communications training.
- Ability to successfully complete lock out / tag out training
- Ability to be certified to operate powered industrial trucks as listed below.
- Proficiency in the use of a ruler.
- Ability to wear hearing protection.
- Requires good manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination.
- Minimum of three to six months of experience operating machinery.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to learn independently including book, web-based and classroom participation
