Our Firmwarwe Engineers use ultralow power applications, analog and digital measurement and analysis tools, cybersecurity principles, Greenlight Guru for medical device product lifecycle, NetSuite and a variety of other tools to do their jobs more efficiently.
What You Will Do
As a Firmware Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:
- Embedded firmware development, including architecture design, module design, and coding
- Design reviews, verification and validation, including unit-level, integration, and system
- Embedded firmware integration, including hardware, power analysis, and troubleshooting
- Embedded firmware effort estimation
- Influence system and electrical architectures to meet performance requirements
- Highly collaborative work with other Firmware, Electrical, Systems, and Test Engineers
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or software engineering; or equivalent experience
- 5 years embedded firmware development experience
- 2 years of experience within a disciplined design process including requirements-driven design and design-before-code
Preferred Qualifications:
- Analytical design models; 62304 experience
- Experience developing for safety-critical applications, medical devices, preferably active implantable devices
- Experience troubleshooting bare metal embedded firmware
- Experience in ultralow power applications, with firmware control for power reduction; knowledge of controlling communication, digital and analog circuits and their behaviors; experience using analog and digital measurement and analysis tools
- Experience designing for embedded microcontrollers and the sophisticated use of their timers for power reduction
- Experience using C/C , Python and assembly
- Experienced using safety-critical RTOS
- Experience developing for wireless and wired interfaces, including BLE (and its utilization for ultralow power), standard serial I/O, and discrete control lines
- Experience utilizing cybersecurity principles and FOTA updates
- Experience using software development tools such as Jira, BitBucket, Git/GitHub, etc.
- Master’s degree
