Senior FEA Lead/ Mechanical Engineer

Overview

Velocity Staff is working with our client in Overland Park, Kansas to find a talent FEA Engineer to join their growing and dynamic Engineering form.  The right candidate would authorized to work in the US without sponsorship and be available to work in their Overland Park office.  He or she will be a Senior Level FEA Engineer that has interest in team leadership and continued growth and development.  The client works with a wide variety of industries and projects related to Mechanical Design and product development. We have a long history of using FEA to aid in the design process and as a form of validation for our customers. As the use of FEA increases in our field, we need a seasoned professional to help take our FEA offerings to the next level. We are seeking a motivated and creative Senior Engineer to act as a team mentor and to be an expert resource in analysis and engineering problem solving.

While the primary responsibilities are based around FEA, the ideal candidate would also possess the ability to design complete mechanical systems and function as a lead on a design project.

Responsibilities

• Solving complex technical analysis and design problems

• Plan and manage project direction and schedule

• Provide technical leadership for all FEA projects and assist with design projects

• Develops test plans for FEA projects with minimal direction

• Collaborate with FEA team resources to improve internal processes

• Champion quality initiatives and innovation to improve Finite’s FEA offerings

• Identify and create recommendations to reduce cost and increase process efficiency

• Have the ability to lead, mentor, foster success and provide growth for a team of FEA Engineers

Qualifications

• • Minimum 5 years of FEA project experience

  • ABAQUS or other FEA software (linear & non-linear )

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Technical/Engineering field, Masters preferred

  • Experience in product design, development life cycles, manufacturing methods

  • Available to work from our Overland Park, KS location

  • Authorized to work in the United States without Sponsorship
