What You’ll Do:
The Tire Technician specializes in medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers and is a skilled professional responsible for the comprehensive care and maintenance of the tires used in these vehicles. Their role involves inspecting, repairing, and replacing tires to ensure optimal performance, safety, and longevity. Tire technicians are proficient in assessing tire conditions, identifying issues like wear patterns, punctures, or alignment problems. They use specialized tools and equipment to conduct repairs, rotate tires, and mount or dismount them as needed. Additionally, these technicians are well-versed in tire inflation systems and are often involved in maintaining proper tire pressure to enhance fuel efficiency and overall vehicle performance. The tire technician’s expertise plays a critical role in preventing breakdowns, improving road safety, and minimizing operational costs for client’s fleets of medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers.

Job Duties:

• Install tires on medium to heavy duty vehicles and trailers
• Inspect tires for wear, damage, and inflation pressure
• Balance tires to ensure smooth and safe operation of vehicle/trailer
• Repair punctures, cuts, and other tire damage following industry standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven work experience as a tire technician preferred
• Knowledge of tire installation techniques, tire sizing, and tire repair methods
• Customer service skills
• Current driver license with clean record

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in a crouched or standing position for extended periods.
• Take and clear background check and drug screening

Compensation:

• Hourly $20-$32/hr. depending on skills/experience.
• Full Time position
