Masgay Group is seeking a dynamic & experienced individual to join our team as an Accounting Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial health and growth of our organization.
Our company is made up of a diverse group of restaurants in Central Wisconsin and Door County Wisconsin, as well as multiple real estate holdings.
We are looking for an Accounting Manager to oversee our 3 restaurants in Central Wisconsin (Mikey’s Bar & Grill, Tine & Cellar, and The Velveteen Plum), as well as our seasonal ventures in Door County (Mezzanine Egg Harbor and Deer Run Golf on Washington Island).
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting (or 3 years’ experience in a related field) experience with multi-company holdings, QuickBooks Enterprise, a Remote Desktop work environment, and Microsoft Office suite. They should have the ability to work with senior stakeholders at the Director level as well as the daily operational team. Excellent verbal & written communication skills are a must, as well as a can-do approach and willingness to make positive changes.
This is a full-time role, with a flexible schedule and the possibility of hybrid-remote work after an initial training period.
Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Utilize Point of Sale system to build financial reports in QuickBooks and flash report data for management review.
- Process accounts payable payments
- Process payroll for all entities biweekly, prepare quarterly & annual reports
- Assist managing inventory & cost of goods sold procedures with restaurant level staff
- Ad hoc HR, tech, & office support duties
- Monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Monthly closings, including sales tax
- Financial statement preparation & ad-hoc reporting as requested
- Supervise Accounting Assistant
- Coordinates with tax preparer throughout the year for tax planning & preparation.
