Corporate Compliance Manager


Job Description:

Venbrook is in search of an experienced Compliance Manager to oversee various Insurance and Claims compliance and regulatory workstreams. A perfect candidate for this role is an individual with a proven track record in the Compliance Insurance/Claims arena with regulatory, compliance, license management, contract management and/or insurance or claims management knowledge.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the creation, review and implementation of policies and procedures resulting from new laws and regulations.
  • Revise procedures, reports etc. periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues.
  • Subject Matter Expert for resolution of queries from regulators, internal Licensing team, licensees, and business leaders for - Insurance Agent/Broker, Surplus Lines, Adjuster licensure.
  • Supervision of Compliance Associate workstreams to assure processes and volumes are being managed according to SOP’s.
  • Work closely with EVP Corporate Compliance and Executives on various matters including coordinating timely response to regulator queries, desk audits, data calls.
  • Collaborate with Corporate General Counsel on various compliance matters.
  • Provide support on tracking, monitoring, and resolving queries through input into matrices, summaries, logs, online systems.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control.
  • Special Projects including but not limited to workflow input or enhancement, engagement and testing of new compliance software, data input projects etc.
  • Provide timely, courteous, and quality support to all internal and external parties

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-years Insurance work experience - P&C, L&H and/or Claims
  • Minimum of 3-years’ experience as Compliance Manager or similar [position
  • Property & Casualty License and/or ability to secure P&C license
  • 5 or more years of related regulatory experience
  • In-depth knowledge of the industry’s standards and regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Acts with a sense of urgency and takes accountability for resolving issues.
  • Proficient in all standard business software applications including Microsoft 365

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift and/or move objects. The employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms; use hands to finger and grasp, using repetitive motions; talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stoop. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, kneel, crouch, crawl, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, and feel. This job requires the employee to have close visual acuity.

Salary:

Up to $125,000
