What are the responsibilities and job description for the Busser position at Venice Restaurant?
Responsibilities:
- Assist servers in setting up tables and preparing the dining area for service
- Clear tables and clean them promptly after guests have finished their meals
- Refill water glasses and provide additional utensils or napkins as needed
- Assist in food delivery from the kitchen to the dining area
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including sweeping and mopping floors
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks in the kitchen, such as chopping vegetables or assembling appetizers
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure efficient and smooth service
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guests' needs and concerns
Skills:
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests, servers, and kitchen staff
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food handling and safety procedures
- Previous experience in the hospitality or food industry is preferred but not required
- Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions from supervisors
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
