Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Site Manager to serve as the Primary Qualifying Party (PQP) for our company’s contractor license. The Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing construction sites in South Carolina and Alabama, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This role requires significant travel, with up to 80% of the time spent at various project locations in both states, or more states including Michigan, Texas, California.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations at construction sites in South Carolina and Alabama.
- Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with the South Carolina Contractor’s Licensing Board regulations and Alabama state requirements.
- Coordinate with project teams to maintain schedules, quality, and safety standards.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Serve as the designated PQP for the company’s contractor license, ensuring all operations adhere to state laws and industry standards.
- Review and approve project plans, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements.
- Project Oversight:
- Provide leadership and guidance to site teams, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise on-site, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain all necessary documentation related to site management and regulatory compliance, including licenses, certifications, and safety records.
- Regularly report to company management on project progress, compliance issues, and any other relevant updates.
Qualifications:
- Licenses & Certifications:
- Must have passed the technical exams required by the Alabama Contractor’s Licensing Board.
- Must meet the qualifications to be designated as the Primary Qualifying Party (PQP) for the company.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction site management or a related field.
- Practical experience in managing large-scale projects, particularly in South Carolina and Alabama, is highly desirable.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple sites simultaneously.
- In-depth knowledge of South Carolina and Alabama construction laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
- Travel Requirement:
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 80% of the time to various project locations in South Carolina and Alabama.
