Scope of the Position

This individual will be responsible for, but not limited to, administrative duties, loading & unloading trucks and repacking production & service parts.

Responsibilities

• Clerical duties will include, but not limited to, data entry, clerical control procedures, proofreading and other error-avoidance procedures.
• Capable of operating standard office equipment, including a computer workstation, incorporating various software programs.

Need a good working knowledge of IBM AS and personal computers to gather information.

Knowledge of general clerical procedures. Good oral and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions with limited supervision.

Generate shippers for all outbound shipments.

• Verify staged load to printed shipping documentation, print Bill of Lading / Packing Slip and compiles all other shipping documents.
• Scans load under proper shipping number using Tracker and unloads to the software, matches serial numbers and completes shippers.

Correcting any matching errors before completion of shippers.

• Generate computerized or manual A.S.N.’s for customers; verifying accuracy and timeliness of each transaction.
• Updates all completed shippers at the end of the shift and delivers all signed Bill of Lading / Packing Slips to appropriate personnel.

Trained as backup to enter and respond to shortages in the Ford Direct Data Link.

• Determines routing and maintains weight limits, according to established schedules and customer requirements.
• Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors. Must be able to load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks.
• Must be able to repack service & production parts.
• Ability to apply an understanding in which to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate with customer and other employees.
• Ability to calculate figures.
