Oil Trading Manager

Position Summary:

The Manager, Oil Trading will be responsible for compiling forecasts, coverage planning, and data entry processes in collaboration with the Oil Procurement Group. This role will also be responsible for managing the annual RSPO audit.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Daily processing of shipment and COA data into AS400.
• Management of RSPO auditing requirements. Includes monthly data management as well as oversight of annual on-site audits.
• Forecasting and Reporting for all oil types procured by Ventura Foods across the network of manufacturing facilities, weekly and as requested.
• Collaborate with and communicate raw material coverage planning across Oil Trading, Demand Planning, and Operations functions. Includes involvement in the Oil S&OP process.
• Update and maintain supplier scorecards.
• Backup and Support for Sales Contracting Function.
• Additional responsibilities as required.

Education and Experience:

• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience in vegetable oil and/or agricultural commodity trading environment. Commodities supply chain experience also preferred.
• Ability to travel 5%.
• College degree is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, as well as the ability to prioritize issues and deliver projects and programs on time and within budget.
• Proven success in cultivating & building relationships with current/future external suppliers, contacts & customers.
• Experience in financial and/or commodity accounting a plus.
• Demand Planning (AKA forecasting) experience is helpful.
• Prior experience working for a food manufacturer.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Requires strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with a wide variety of audiences both internally and externally.
• Must be able to facilitate large group meetings and indirectly influence actions/results of key personnel outside of the department.
• Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to make decisions independently and prioritize and manage time-sensitive situations.
• Strong collaboration skills.

• Salary Base Range of $119,700 – $157,000 for Employees Located in California*
• Annual bonus (based on the incentive program terms and conditions)

The range provided is for California-based employees as Ventura Foods is required by California State Law to post pay rates.
