Director of Sales/Business Development
Key Responsibility: Increase sales revenue, by maximizing equipment utilization, through establishment of new customers and expansion of existing customer relationships.
Qualifications:
• Proven track record of growing sales to new customers in current and new markets
• 5 years of experience with progressively increasing responsibilities and results.
• Minimum 25% travel will be required within North America
• Experienced with developing marketing content and brand building as part of a clear marketing strategy.
• Computer skills in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Articulate and able to convey a professional image to prospective customers.
• Ability to maintain detailed and accurate records.

Additional Responsibilities:
• Increase sales revenue through establishment of new customers and markets, by building relationships with customers, suppliers, and vendors.
• Manages Key Customer relationships and works to build new ones.
• Generation of new business by working with prospective and existing customers, management, purchasing, engineering, and quality to develop opportunities.
• Market Research: Assist in development of metrics to assess potential customers.
o Execute market research to identify prospective customers in current and new markets.
o Results: Actively maintained list of prospective customers categorized by region, market, service needs, requirements for engagement, and potential annual revenue
• Marketing: Develop and manage the overall marketing plan to build brand recognition
o Implementation of the plan via a comprehensive and unified strategy
o Results: Utilization of website, social and printed media to convey the Venture brand and value proposition to prospective customers
• Customer Development: Identify and pursue target customers based on results of market research and sales strategy.
o Effectively build relationships and proactively manage sales opportunities resulting in customer orders.
o Results: Sales targets for revenue and market diversity are met
o Customer Relationships based on integrity, trust, and responsiveness.
• Management: Manage all aspects of sales and marketing
o Transition to building an overall sales and marketing team as the organization continues to grow.
o Results: Sales and marketing operations are adequately staffed to respond to customer and management demand
o Overhead is kept to a minimum to maximize division profitability.
o Teamwork is fostered to ensure a cooperative environment focused on customer needs.
o Sales personnel, Industry Sales Representatives, and quotations tracking/development of sales funnel.
• Reporting: Establish and manage sales and marketing measures and streamlined reporting
o Utilize tools to facilitate effective customer relationship management and data mining.
o Results: Reports presented to management for monthly review
o Accurate data provided to enable effective decision making.
