Job Description
Regional Territory: North Central to include IL, MN, MO, WI states
Travel: 40-50% within region
Summary
- Responsible for overall direction and execution of technical aspects for operations and project support to business development throughout North America. This individual must have a strong technical background in the field of environmental business with experience in business operations and knowledge of finance principles. The position will also lead some special projects such as capital expenditure projects.
Primary Duties / Responsibilities
- Provide overall direction and handle the management of his/her assigned project, including the assigned personnel, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Ensure the project or assignment is planned and coordinated according to the schedule, with strict adherence to quality and budget considerations, by following Veolia North America policies and procedures.
- Assist Business Development in preparation of estimates and procedures in planning of projects, with a strong focus on operational efficiencies.
- Ensure technical quality and safety in all aspects of job performance and compliance per DOT, EPA, and OSHA requirements
- Act as Veolia's main contact with the customer or other external parties for the resolution of operational or project development issues.
- Actively participate in feedback and post-job evaluation portions of the project.
- Complete a post project evaluation of personnel assigned to projects
- Other duties as directed.
Qualifications
Education / Experience / Background
- BS degree in technical studies / engineering
- 10 years industry experience

- Language skills for business in English and French an asset
- Thinking skills: decision making ability, seasoned judgment.
- Skills in supervision, planning coordination and project management.
- Strong skills in analysis and problem solving.
- Personal depth, in the form of mature confidence, adaptability, self direction, and organization.
