Position Purpose:
This Data Analyst will provide data analytics for Mid-Atlantic Operations and Finance and serve as a subject manager expert (SME) on various corporate initiatives that manage data. They will be responsible for managing the Business Unit(s) data management systems, analytical / business intelligence tool sets, which in turn will improve efficiencies, enhance revenue integrity, clarify reporting, and provide cost savings.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Work will be hybrid with balance of work in the office, meetings with Operations, and remote.
- The Data Analyst will be able to analyze internal operational and external data sources.
- They should be able to develop and demonstrate business understanding, and use their skills to compare data to help with business decisions and operational efficiencies.
- Incumbent must be able to combine data from disparate sources.
- Knowledge of the data analytics lifecycle and/or the software development lifecycle is required.
- Responsible for documenting requirements, data collection, processing, cleaning and exploratory analysis.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts.
- Report development .
- Automation of repeatable processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience/Background:
- Bachelor Degree in Mathematics, Technology, Information System, Computer Science or equivalent.
- 1-5 years’ in Data, Business Analysis, Geographic Information Systems or related fields.
- 2 years of overall experience working with utilities, telecom, cable/internet or similar industry.
- Master Business Intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.).
- Experience with Python, NoSQL/Hadoop, SQL, Google Suite, and Google Cloud Platform.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate in both written and oral formats.
- Great analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Open collaborative style; ability to work in a team environment and autonomously with minimal supervision or direction.
- Superior information visualization and display skills.
- Ability to learn and understand organizational data flow and its use in management decision-making.
- Skilled in developing and using KPI’s and dashboards.
Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
- Drivers License.
