Schedule, Location and Compensation:
- When: Sessions typically occur 3-5 days per week for 2-3 hours, most often during after school hours between 3pm-8pm
- Where: Sessions typically occur in the child’s natural environment (in the child’s home, community, and/or school).
- Compensation: $20.00 - $29.00 per hour, based on experience and certifications

Responsibilities
What does my day look like as a Behavior Technician (BT)/Registered Behavior Technician (RBT):
- ABA therapists work under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized treatment plans
- to address communication, behavior, feeding, ADLs, and social skills. The ABA therapist / Registered Behavior Technician
- Collects and records data to monitor the progress of a treatment plan and works in collaboration with the clinical supervisor to update the treatment plan as necessary
Attributes and qualifications needed to be successful in this role:
- Patience, compassion and the desire to help children with autism achieve their goals
- Genuine desire to learn about Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with others
- High School Diploma required, Bachelor's Degree (completed or in progress) preferred
- Experience working with children
- Must have valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
- All ABA therapists will be required to complete or provide proof of completion of the 40-Hour RBT course. Verbal Beginnings will provide the course to those who need to complete it.
