Overview
Quality Engineer
Seeking an Aerospace Quality Engineer 40 hours per week for a contract opportunity in Westminster, CA
1st – 6:00am-2:30pm
Candidates will also need to have ability to review AS9100D Documentation. Expert knowledge and experience is required.
Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible to ensure that parts produced meet all customer requirements.
- Provides statistical analysis and recommendations for quality improvement.
- Interact with customer to drive larger initiatives such as design improvements and introduction of new sources.
- Interact with suppliers to improve product quality.
- Evaluates engineering changes for impact on product quality.
- Investigates and analyzes quality problems, recommends solutions and ensures corrections are made.
- Performs failure mode and effect analysis.
- Drives problem resolution via CAPA process.
- Perform process validation via first article inspections.
- Generate and present product quality reviews to management.
Education and Work Experience:
- 5 years of Engineering experience in aerospace manufacturing
- AS9100D certification pref
- Proficient knowledge of GD&T
- Six Sigma, problem solving techniques, statistical analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with quality systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, etc.)
- Demonstrated success with multidiscipline project management
