We've assembled a highly skilled team with deep knowledge in e-commerce, online-user behavior, machine learning, artificial intelligence and more. We're looking to add intrepid and talented individuals who are enthusiastic about having a role in shaping the future strategy and growth of Verishop.  

About this role: 

We’re looking for an individual to lead business development and grow our B2B solutions platform. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to one of Verishop’s most exciting initiatives by driving key strategic partnerships . This individual will have experience with strategic negotiations and analysis, along with a sense of what independent brands need to grow their business. As our business development leader, you will be responsible for guiding B2B partnership strategies, defining the right rules of engagement, and helping scale the value proposition of our platform via the right set of partners. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver results. Our ideal candidate will function as part operator, part business development and corporate strategist. This Senior Manager, Head of Business Development position is a remote opportunity for full-time employment.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead successful vendor partnership strategies and launches, and sustain positive relationships, working closely with external and internal teams 
  • Shape, discuss, and establish agreements/partnerships demonstrating fluency in legal and business issues in contracts and developing creative win-win solutions with our partners
  • Generate holistic compelling business cases, think strategically and act on ideas, and effectively pitch these ideas to the leadership team
  • Identifying and execute new opportunities from beginning to end
  • Design and launch our self-service solutions portal working closely with design, engineering, marketing, finance etc.
  • Work directly with the VP, Strategic Partnerships & Corporate Development on all special projects

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years business development experience and/or management consulting, in-house corporate strategy experience a plus
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and work at strategic and tactical levels simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide insightful, data-driven strategic recommendations to partners and cross-functional stakeholders, including C-level partner executives
  • Analyze markets and synthesize recommendations into actionable partnerships plans
  • Experience closing strategic business development deals
  • Experience analyzing data and deriving actionable business insights
  • Experience learning quickly about new technologies and distill information into actionable insights for internal stakeholders
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and experience developing strong working relationships both inside and outside of Verishop
  • Experience successfully navigating a fast-paced, highly ambiguous environment
  • Entrepreneurial, persistent, and resourceful, with experience learning quickly about new technologies
  • High level of EQ when navigating internally and with partners
  • Knowledge of B2B marketplace and solutions platforms a plus 
  • Experience in Internet/consumer technology a plus
  • BS or BA degree in a related field
  • MBA is a plus
